• Training from Last Summer

• Things have changed somewhat
• Everyone who was trained has not been able to
  use it so has forgotten what they learned
• Must be trained again

Frustrations in getting training going

• System changing constantly because of responses
  to our requests for fixes
• Understanding the system well enough to train it
• Time spent on testing

Training is Migration Training

• What does that mean?
• Training will focus on
• how to work with migrated content and assets
• basics of how to create/edit new
  content/pages/navigation
• little emphasis on new features
• How will that compare to later training?
• Training will NOT talk about migrated content.
• Training will initially look at how to perform
  basic functions, similar to current training.

• More advanced features
• New capabilities

Types of Training

• Site admin
• Site Admin training likely 2 days
• Content Authoring
• Content Authoring training 1 day

Training Prioritization

• Since UAT Go-Live are same time for everyone
  and since Site Preview doesnt require training,
  I will not do training in order of phases. I will
  however, do training in order
• Site Admins
• Very Active Authors (enter/edit content/assets at
  least weekly)
• Active Authors (enter/edit content/assets at
  least monthly)
• Only Authors (the only person who maintains the
  left nav button)
• Occasional Authors (enter/edit content/assets
  once every two months or so)
• Backup Authors (designated back-up to someone
  else)

Need to update waiting lists

• We will send site admins our current waiting list
  from last summer and ask them to update according
  to the above criteria. If you would rather, you
  can throw it out and start over.

Additional Trainer

• More training can be accomplished
• Andreana Miller of IBM

Detroit Area Training

• Not Prioritized
• Everyone in one or two weeks
• Andreana to do it
