2LAW OF MOSES STILL IN EFFECT
- But when the fullness of the time had come, God
sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under
the law. (Galatians 44) - Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or
the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to
fulfill. (Matthew 517)

4NEW TESTAMENT IN FORCE
- Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when
I will make a new covenant with the house of
Israel and with the house of Judah-- not
according to the covenant that I made with their
fathers in the day that I took them by the hand
to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My
covenant which they broke, though I was a husband
to them, says the Lord. But this is the covenant
that I will make with the house of Israel after
those days, says the Lord I will put My law in
their minds, and write it on their hearts and I
will be their God, and they shall be My people.
No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and
every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord,
for they all shall know Me, from the least of
them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For
I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I
will remember no more. (Jeremiah 3131-34)
5NEW TESTAMENT IN FORCE
- But now He has obtained a more excellent
ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a
better covenant, which was established on better
promises. For if that first covenant had been
faultless, then no place would have been sought
for a second. Because finding fault with them, He
says Behold, the days are coming, says the
Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the
house of Israel and with the house of Judah--not
according to the covenant that I made with their
fathers in the day when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of the land of Egypt because
they did not continue in My covenant, and I
disregarded them, says the Lord.... In that He
says, A new covenant, He has made the first
obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and
growing old is ready to vanish away. (Hebrews
86-9, 13)

7THIEF WAS UNDER THE LAW
- For the woman who has a husband is bound by the
law to her husband as long as he lives. But if
the husband dies, she is released from the law of
her husband. So then if, while her husband lives,
she marries another man, she will be called an
adulteress but if her husband dies, she is free
from that law, so that she is no adulteress,
though she has married another man. Therefore, my
brethren, you also have become dead to the law
through the body of Christ, that you may be
married to another--to Him who was raised from
the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. For
when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions
which were aroused by the law were at work in our
members to bear fruit to death. But now we have
been delivered from the law, having died to what
we were held by, so that we should serve in the
newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of
the letter. (Romans 72-6)
8THIEF WAS UNDER THE LAW
- For the law was given through Moses, but grace
and truth came through Jesus Christ. (John 117)

10WE ARE UNDER CHRIST
- For the woman who has a husband is bound by the
law to her husband as long as he lives. But if
the husband dies, she is released from the law of
her husband. So then if, while her husband lives,
she marries another man, she will be called an
adulteress but if her husband dies, she is free
from that law, so that she is no adulteress,
though she has married another man. Therefore, my
brethren, you also have become dead to the law
through the body of Christ, that you may be

been delivered from the law, having died to what
we were held by, so that we should serve in the
newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of
the letter. (Romans 72-6)
11WE ARE UNDER CHRIST
- But before faith came, we were kept under guard
by the law, kept for the faith which would
afterward be revealed. Therefore the law was our
tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be
justified by faith. But after faith has come, we
are no longer under a tutor. For you are all sons
of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many
of you as were baptized into Christ have put on
Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is
neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor
female for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And
if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed,
and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians
323-29)

13LAW NAILED TO THE CROSS
- And you, being dead in your trespasses and the
uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive
together with Him, having forgiven you all
trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of
requirements that was against us, which was
contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the
way, having nailed it to the cross. (Colossians
213-14 )
14LAW NAILED TO THE CROSS
- For He Himself is our peace, who has made both
one, and has broken down the middle wall of
separation, having abolished in His flesh the
enmity, that is, the law of commandments
contained in ordinances, so as to create in
Himself one new man from the two, thus making
peace, and that He might reconcile them both to
God in one body through the cross, thereby
putting to death the enmity. (Ephesians 214-16 )

16PURPOSE OF THE LAW
What purpose then does the law serve? It was
added because of transgressions, till the Seed
should come to whom the promise was made and it
was appointed through angels by the hand of a
mediator.... Therefore the law was our tutor to
bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by
faith. (Galatians 319, 24)
- What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly
not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin
except through the law. For I would not have
known covetousness unless the law had said, You
shall not covet. (Romans 77)

18TESTATOR CAN IGNORE WILL
And I give them eternal life, and they shall
never perish neither shall anyone snatch them
out of My hand. (John 1028)
- But that you may know that the Son of Man has
power on earth to forgive sins--He said to the
paralytic, I say to you, arise, take up your bed,
and go to your house. (Mark 210-11)

20INHERIT BY TERMS OF WILL
Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by
the things which He suffered. And having been
perfected, He became the author of eternal
salvation to all who obey Him. (Hebrews 58-9)
- Knowing that from the Lord you will receive the
reward of the inheritance for you serve the Lord
Christ. (Colossians 324)

22TESTAMENT OF NO STRENGTH
For where there is a testament, there must also
of necessity be the death of the testator. For a
testament is in force after men are dead, since
it has no power at all while the testator lives.
(Hebrews 916-17)
- Then He said, Behold, I have come to do Your
will, O God. He takes away the first that He may
establish the second. By that will we have been
sanctified through the offering of the body of
Jesus Christ once for all. (Hebrews 109-10)

24CHRISTS WILL NOW EFFECTIVE
For on the one hand there is an annulling of the
former commandment because of its weakness and
unprofitableness, for the law made nothing
perfect on the other hand, there is the bringing
in of a better hope, through which we draw near
to God. (Hebrews 718-19)
- And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new
covenant, by means of death, for the redemption
of the transgressions under the first covenant,
that those who are called may receive the promise
of the eternal inheritance. For where there is a
testament, there must also of necessity be the
death of the testator. For a testament is in
force after men are dead, since it has no power
at all while the testator lives. (Hebrews 915-17)

26THIEF POSSIBLE BACKSLIDER
John came baptizing in the wilderness and
preaching a baptism of repentance for the
remission of sins. Then all the land of Judea,
and those from Jerusalem, went out to him and
were all baptized by him in the Jordan River,
confessing their sins. (Mark 14-5)
- And when all the people heard Him, even the tax
collectors justified God, having been baptized
with the baptism of John. But the Pharisees and
lawyers rejected the will of God for themselves,
not having been baptized by him. (Luke 729-30)

there is neither male nor female for you are all
one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's,
then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according
to the promise. (Galatians 326-29 )
- Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son,
and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
(Galatians 47)

30DIED BEFORE WILL PROBATED
For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith
is made void and the promise made of no effect.
(Romans 414)
- Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law,
having become a curse for us (for it is written,
"Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"), that
the blessing of Abraham might come upon the
Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive
the promise of the Spirit through faith..... For
if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer
of promise but God gave it to Abraham by
promise. (Galatians 313-14, 18)

32EXAMPLES AFTER PROBATION
Therefore let all the house of Israel know
assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you
crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they
heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said
to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Men and
brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said to
them, Repent, and let every one of you be
baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins and you shall receive the gift
of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and
to your children, and to all who are afar off, as
many as the Lord our God will call. And with
many other words he testified and exhorted them,
saying, Be saved from this perverse generation.
Then those who gladly received his word were
baptized and that day about three thousand souls
were added to them. (Acts 236-41)
33EXAMPLES AFTER PROBATION
- Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at
this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. Now as
they went down the road, they came to some water.
And the eunuch said, See, here is water. What
hinders me from being baptized? Then Philip
said, If you believe with all your heart, you
may. And he answered and said, I believe that
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. So he commanded
the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and
the eunuch went down into the water, and he
baptized him. Now when they came up out of the
water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away,
so that the eunuch saw him no more and he went
on his way rejoicing. (Acts 835-39)
