1
Jacqueline Wilson
2
Early life
  • She was born in bath 1945, but spent most of her
    childhood in Kingston-on-Thames. Jacqueline never
got a lot as a child so she had to use her
imagination a lot of the time to make up little
games so that she could have fun!

3
Jackie daydream!
  • She always wanted to be a writer and wrote her
first novel when she was nine, filling in
countless Woolworth's exercise books as she grew
up. As she matured she decided to write her own
biography which was called Jackie daydream
because when she was in school thats what all
her teachers called her as she was forever in a
    daydream!

4
Growing up
  • As a teenager she started work for a magazine
publishing company and then went on to work as a
journalist on Jackie magazine (which she was told
was named after her!) before turning to writing
    novels full-time.

5
Becoming famous
  • One of Jacquelines most successful and enduring
creations has been the famous Tracy Beaker, who
first appeared in 1991 in The Story of Tracy
Beaker. This was also the first of her books to
    be illustrated by Nick Sharratt.

6
books
  •  Since then Jacqueline has been on countless
awards shortlists and has gone on to win many
awards. The Illustrated Mum won the Guardian
Childrens Fiction Award, the 1999 Childrens
Book of the Year at the British Book Awards and
was also short listed for the 1999 Whitbread
    Childrens Book Award.

7
More books
  • Double Act won the prestigious Smarties Medal
and the Childrens Book Award as well as being
highly commended for the Carnegie Medal. The
Story of Tracy Beaker won the 2002 Blue Peter
    Peoples Choice Award.

8
Fans
  • Jacqueline is one of the nations favourite
authors, and her books are loved and cherished by
young readers not only in the UK but all over the
    world.

9
Sold!
  • According to a recent Mori poll, Jacqueline
was voted English children favourite childrens
author. She has sold millions of books and in the
UK alone the total stands at over 25 million!

10
Reasoning
  • Jacqueline Wilson is a very reasoning person
as she always keeps trying to get better and is
always having to make choices about new books for
the correct age group of girls! Jacqueline has a
very hard job to do and has to make sure she uses
the correct language, I think she does a great
    job tbh!

11
Resourceful
  • Jacqueline Wilson has been resourceful as she
has been very creative making up her own story
although she has to be careful to make some of
the story as real as possible like Vicky Angel
as it is a very sad story that can not be made a
    joke!

12
Reflective
  • Jacqueline Wilson has been reflective as she
has sold many many books! So she has to try make
her new one even better than the last ones!
Jacqueline is forever making choices about her
career and always has to make the right choices
as she has so many fans that look up to her!

13
Responsible
  • Jacqueline Wilson is very responsible as she
has a very responsible job to do. She has to make
the right choice of vocabulary and the right
choice of story line in some of Jacqueline's
books she has to keep everything very serious
because it is a story line that could happen to
    anybody.

14
Resilient
  • Jacqueline Wilson is very resilient as of her
family up bring and sad losses no matter what
happens in her life she never stops trying and
always tries harder she is an inspiration to all
as no matter what you want to do never give up
    fighting for what you want!

15
I am very good at reasoning because I like to
know the purpose of why I am doing something
before I will do it, Jacqueline has to stop and
think before she starts to write her books. I am
also very good at being responsible for my
actions, and if Jacqueline Wilson makes a mistake
then she would be able to apologise and make up
for it.
16
I AM SUCCESSFUL D not giving up on my dreams
mean that I can be successful just like her! If
you keep fighting for what you want then your
dreams can come true D
