was attended by many scholars. And he was praised
by famous Muslim scholars for doing this great
deed. - The famous scholar of hadith, Abul-Khattab Ibn
Dihyah, wrote a book for this king especially to
be read during the mawlid celebration. - Imam As-Suyootiy authored a book about al-Mawlid
and named it Husnul Maqsid fi amalil-Mawlid.
Which shows the great honor of celebrating the
birth of Prophet Muhammad.
23Millions Celebrate Prophet Muhammads Birth
Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam
- Till now hundreds of millions of Muslims all over
Asia, Africa, Europe, India, Bangladesh, Fiji,
Indonesia, Yemen, Turkey, Pakistan, Middle east
and the Americas. - Only those who have darkness in their hearts and
do not love the Prophet deny permissibility of
celebrating Mawlid and say that such celebrations
are unlawful or haram. - Al-Mawlid is a good and rewarding innovation
derived from the Quran and teachings of the
Prophet.
24Mawlid is a good and rewarding innovationSallalla
hu Alayhi Wa Sallam
- Prophet Muhammad said what means The one who
innovates a good innovation in Islam has its
reward and a reward similar to those who follow
him in without lessening their reward. The one
who innovates an innovation of misguidance would
be sinful for it and has sins similar to those
who follow him in it--until the Day of Judgment - From such hadith, the scholars of Islam like
an-Nawaiy and al-hafidh Ibn Hajar and others said
that innovation (Bidah) is of two types one that
does not comply with Quran and Sunnah and that
is rejected, and one that complies with Quran
and Sunnah which is accepted in Islam such as
al-Mawlid celebration.
25Mawlid is a good and rewarding innovationSallalla
hu Alayhi Wa Sallam
- Among the good innovations was the doing of the
followers of Prophet Issa (Jesus) peace be upon
him as they initiated a good deed as Allah said
in al-Quran ????????????? ???????????????? wa
rahbaniyatan-ibtadaooha which means they
innovated an act of detaching the hearts from
worldly interests and spending the time for
worship. This proves that bidah is of two types
good and bad. - The companion Khubayb innovated a good innovation
(bidah) by making a practice of praying tow
rakahs before being killed. al-Bukhariy - Making Salat and salam on the Prophet after the
Adhan is another good innovation practiced by
Muslims over 700 years ago.
26Mawlid is a good and rewarding innovationSallalla
hu Alayhi Wa Sallam
- Also Yahya bin Yamur innovated a good innovation
by placing dots and characters above and below
the Arabic letters in the Quran. A dot below the
Ba letter, Dot above Noon letter and so on. That
was not done by the prophet nor companions. That
innovation was a very beneficial and useful
bidah accepted in Islam. - Khalifah Uthman innovated the practice of a
second Adhan on Fridays. As narrated by Bukhariy. - And Celebrating the Birth of the Prophet is one
of those good innovations of guidance that comply
with the Quran Sunnah. Its a way of presenting
our thankfulness to Allah, for sending prophet
Muhammad as a mercy to humanity.
27In SummaryProphet Muhammad is the best man ever
