Ewa Beach is located West of the island Oahu. Ewa
Beach is like the desert of Oahu. Its hot all
the time. People mistaken Ewa and Ewa Beach but,
there is a difference.
Ewa is called Ewa Plains because its on flat
ground. Back in time Ewa was were all the
plantations were located. Ewa Beach now thats a
different story.
Ewa Beach, obviously is located near the beach.
Its cooler on this part but still is scorching
hot. We get more breeze then the Ewa Plains do
because we get the ocean breeze. The average
temperature on a normal day ranges from 81
degrees to 90 degrees. So when it rains in Ewa
Beach that means its raining every other place on
the island also. When it rains it pours!

Religion
8
Church is a priority I was taught growing up.
Not only is it a priority but its a way to show
our appreciation to the one man who will never
leave us.
We as a family every Sunday attend New Hope
Leeward.

Myths
10
The big Mo'o..
Yes this is strange! You might be thinking a
moo?? What the heck?? Well moo is hawaiian for
lizard/gecko. There is a myth that there is a
huge moo under the ground in Ewa Beach. The myth
is to say when the moo awakes it will crawl
under the ground and cause holes. The holes will
cause all the houses to drop through the ground
and fall into the unknown. This is suppose to
happen because we the people built houses and
buildings on the hawaiian land.

My Family, My Ohana
12
My family is VERY important to me. When I was
growing up I was taught not to trust anyone
except your family. Your family is the people
who are ALWAYS going to be there and love you for
who you are.
We do have A LOT of rules they arent fair to us
but we follow them (sometimes). We are instilled
with a lot of morals. One rule we have is to give
our parents the utmost respect. We are blessed to
have a big family!
13
We also have a lot of hanai family. Hanai is
when people who arent related are considered a
part of your family. Even our in-laws are a
part of our family. Everyone is important to us.
If you love us we love you! Our family is big to
begin with, there is 6 girls and 1 boy. Then I
have 1 real niece and 4 hanai nephews. I also
have 3 different step grandfathers and 1 step
grandmother. We have one HUGE family.
