  • You must be committed to the offense.
  • You must do 7-on-7.
  • Plan for the red zone and the blitz.
  • Be prepared to change the way you game plan and
    practice.

INSTALL PHASE
  • Install the offense in 8 practices (1 week).
  • Use more individual and combo periods.
  • Emphasis is on drills, technique, and execution.
  • Use team periods to install screens.
  • Start by teaching the offense against

PRE-SEASON PHASE
  • Continue to perfect technique and execution in
    group/combo periods.
  • Longer team periods with starters.
  • Expand the defenses we work against.
  • Alternate the fronts/coverages similar to our
    in-season structure.
  • Begin to have limited scrimmages / 7-on-7.
  • Correction of errors and personnel decisions
    become a focal point.
