- The second apparition is telling Macbeth that he
will not be killed by anyone. He is safe.

- The third apparition is saying that Birnam wood
will come to The castle and that is when Macbeth
will die
8For the blood-boltered Banquo smiles upon me And
points at them for his. What? Is this so?
- Macbeth sees a line of kings and they are all
Banquos sons. The prophecy is still the same.
9The castle of Macduff I will surprise, Seize upon

- Macbeth is planning to kill everyone at Macduffs
castle.
10If he were dead, yould weep for him. If you
would not, it were a good sign that I should
quickly have a new father.
- Macduffs son is telling his mother that his dad
cant be dead and if he were he would have a new
one soon.
11But Macbeth is. A good and virtuous nature may
recoil In an imperial change.
- Malcolm and Macduff are saying that Macbeth is a
tyrant and that if he keeps it up there will soon
be a new king.
12Expire from the flowers in their caps, Dying or
ere they sicken.
- Ross is stating that Scotland is getting worse
because there is someone who has been good who
has now turned bad.
13How does my wife?Why, well.And all my
children?Well too.The tyrant has not battered
at their peace?
- Ross is lying to Macduff that his family is fine
but they have been murdered.
14Bring thou this fiend of Scotland and myself.
Within my swords length set him.
- Macduff is furious and is going to kill Macbeth.
