8GILLIGAN'S ISLAND
PRESIDENT GILLIGAN
The point of this episode was to find out who was
in charge on the island, the Skipper or Thurston
Howell III. The issue of who was in charge arose
when both men need Gilligans help at the same
time. The castaways decided to solve it the
democratic way by voting on it. The both brive
the rest of the castaways by promising them the
thing that they wanted most. Ex. Mr. Howell
promised Ginger her own movie in Hollywood. Not
sure who to vote for, MaryAnn and Gilligan voted
for Gilligan instead of voting for of the other
two men. But, Mrs. Howell also voted for
Gilligan because she though that her husband ran
enough things back home and could use a break. As
president, Gilligan first makes everyone the
leader of things in order to make them feel
important Gilligan tries to get everyone to help
him with problems except, no one will listen to
him. So, he ends up doing everything himself. It
turns out that he didnt even want to be
president because he had to do everything himself.
