What is the MHV Administrative Portal?

• The MHV Administrative Portal offers resources
  and services for implementation of the Personal
  Health Record (PHR)
• Today this portal has the following portlets
• Manage User Roles (MUR)
• In-Person Authentication (IPA)
• Helpdesk
• Calendaring

MHV Portlets

• Manage User Roles - Used to assign and maintain
  roles and privileges for specific VA employees
  within the Administrative Portal.
• In-Person Authentication Once a patient has
  completed the prerequisites for authentication,
  this portlet is used by VA staff to locate the
  correct MHV user and complete authentication.
• Helpdesk Support for users of both the MHV
  product and the administrative portal.
• Calendaring Admin This portlet is used to
  manage the VA events that will appear in the MHV
  users health calendar.

  assigning roles to designated individuals for
  specific rights or privileges associated with
  functionality within the portal.

Hands-On Demonstration of MUR, IPA and Calendaring

• Helpdesk has limited users so we wont
  demonstrate.
• Administrative Portal URL https//admin.myhealth
  .va.gov.
• Username and password are the same as your
  network one.
• If you cannot access please raise your hand and
  one of the room assistants will help you.

CBOC Implementation

• Performing IPA in CBOCs is HIGHLY encouraged.
• This can be done in a variety of ways.
• Give CBOC staff access to Administration Portal.
• Allow CBOC staff to start the process and send
  information to the VA facility for
  authentication.
• Check out the MHV Product website for more ideas.

Troubleshooting

• Make sure the veteran is a MHV REGISTERED user.
• Ensure veteran has checked he or she is a VA
  patient.
• VERIFY information with veteran to ensure correct
  veteran is authenticated.

Troubleshooting

• Patient is registered user and checked VA
  patient, but still no results? Case-sensitivity
  of the search page.
• Search page is case sensitive
• Why cant I get into the portal?
• No special characters at the end of password

Veteran IPA Issues

• Veteran creates a Helpdesk ticket
• Helpdesk forwards info. to National Administrator
• National Administrator contacts local POC
• POC, HIM and others work to resolve issues
• POC contacts National Administrator with
  resolution
• Ticket is closed.
