CAMPAIGN AIM

• To increase members awareness of the health and
  safety aspects of sharps prevention and
  management by means of a planned programme of
  education, surveillance and evaluation activities

• To reduce the number of sharps injuries sustained
  by members, together with the associated risks of
  occupationally - acquired bloodborne viruses

• To determine the epidemiology of sharps injuries
  and percutaneous exposure incidents in healthcare
  workers in the UK
