10Exhalation Port Test
- Analyzes leak rate of exhalation port
- If successful the value of Pt. Leak will be
displayed - If unsuccessful Tot. Leak will be displayed
- EPT must be performed when using the Plateau
Exhalation Valve because the leak is
significantly different than the port or swivel.
11Test Complete, press Monitoring to exit.
Monitoring
12Trigger Criteria in S/T
- Time Trigger (Rate)
- Flow Trigger
- 6 ml inspired volume detected
- Patient flow exceeds the shape signal (a shadow
of the flow signal delayed by 300 ms)
13In S/T mode
- Only patient (flow) triggered breaths are flow
cycled (PS). - Time triggered breaths are time cycled according
to the set Inspiratory Time.
14Cycle Criteria in S/T
- Time cycled
- Set Inspiratory Time
- A 3 sec maximum IPAP time has occurred
- Flow cycled
- Flow reversal detected
- Patient flow is less than signal flow
- Spontaneous Expiratory Threshold achieved
another way to flow cycle
