19i2 Transportation Optimizer
Rating Engine Rating and routing information
includes carrier, tariff, and service
information, as well as rates, lanes, charges,
and charge ranges. Optimizer for Transportation
Manager Uses the rating engine and this data to
rate your shipments and select the most
cost-effective carrier for each load that it
builds. It considers rating as it builds loads,
so the tariff information directly affects the
makeup of the loads. In addition to the rating
engine, you can also make use of external rating
data, such as CZAR for LTL rating. Distance
Engine Transportation Optimizer for Manager uses
a distance engine to calculate distances from a
given data source. You select either i2 Distance
Engine or PCMiler Distance Engine Parameters Ac
t as overall constraints on vehicles, carrier
scheduling or on carriers themselves. Constraints
Enforce various types of constraints, such as
carrier equipment availability or hub
constraints.
