• Made up of Dade County
• Lookout Mountain is located here with valleys and
  wooded ridges

• Mining and farming are the main industries in

• Southernmost point of the Appalachian Mountains
• Highest point in Georgia (Brasstown Bald, 4784 ft

• 1st gold rush in the US took place here in 1828
