  • Form the comparative by adding -er.

  • Form the comparative by using more before the
    adjective.

  • Texas is larger than Florida.
  • Large is one syllable. Add -er to the end.
  • Is Hawaii more beautiful than Delaware?
  • Beautiful is 3 syllables. Use more in front.

Superlative Form
  • Compares more than two things or people.

  • Form the superlative by adding -est to the end of
    the adjective.

  • Form the superlative by using most before the
    adjective.

  • What is the poorest country in the world?
  • Poor is one syllable. Add -er to the end.
  • George is the most curious of all monkeys.
  • Curious is 3 syllables. Use most in front.

    already in the comparative or superlative form!
