Rules 1 through 3 (out of 11)

1. Write on one side of the paper only
2. Follow MLA Format (see page 7 of the Write Way
   packet)
3. All drafts are double-spaced, except in-class,
   timed essays

Rules 4 through 6 (out of 11)

• 4)All final drafts must be word-processed
• 5)All final drafts must have an original title
• 6)All hand-written rough drafts must have a
  two-and-a-half inch margin on the right side

Rules 7 and 8 (out of 11)

• 7)Read all drafts out loud to yourself before
  writing the next draft or turning the final draft
  in
• 8)Read Pointers before making any revisions

Rules 9 and 10 (out of 11)

• 9)Read the rubric and all directions before
  writing any draft
• 10)Use the Write Way packet throughout all
  drafts

Rule 11-14 (out of 14)

• 11) Highlight revisions on revised and final
  draft
• Use different color ink (no red) or
  use a Highlighter
• 12) Run a Spell Check and Grammar Check
• 13) Put thesis and restatement of thesis in
  bold italics
• 14) Put statements (topic sentences) in body
  paragraphs in different color ink in bold.
