    presented in.
  • Tell the news teams the order in which they are
    presenting.
  • Check that the news reports are CLEAR, CONCISE
    and CORRECT.
  • Be in overall charge of the final news report.
    Make sure everyone is in the right place at the
    right time.

Picture Editors Team
  1. Talk to each news team and find out what their
    news story is about.
  2. Find a photo to illustrate each story and
    download it from the classroom computer.
  3. Save it on a PowerPoint slide. Keep doing this
    until youve got a photo for each story on the
    PowerPoint.
  4. Ask the editor what the order of the stories will
    be, and change the slides to match the order.
  5. Be in charge of the slide show during the news
    report.

    reports. You can do a report on local, national
    or international weather.
  2. Write a script for your weather report. It must
    be clear, concise and correct.

    weather reporters are full of character, so dont
    just read out your report in a boring voice!

Technical Team
  1. Create a presenting and recording area (the place
    you want the news reports to be read out from,
    and from where you will film them).
  2. Create a safe route for the reports to reach the
    presenting area. Explain to the reporters where
    you want them to be and when.
  3. Set up the camera equipment.
  4. Practice using the camera. Make sure its close
    enough so that the reports voice can be heard
    clearly.
  5. Record the news report.

Intro Outro Team
  1. You are responsible for introducing the news
    report. This means you must write the overall
    introduction and conclusion.
  2. You must then visit every news team and find out
    their stories. Then you must prepare a very short
    introduction for each of their stories, for
    example, We are now going to go to Washington to
    hear a report about XXX from our North American
    News Team.
  3. Practice your intros and outros.
  4. Read out your intros and outros during the
    final news report.
