Spare Rack
To GCT
View from the front of the racks, crate
arrangement is necessary for sharing of e/g data
on cables.
2
Remapping of crates in USC55 necessary to reduce
latency. f 0º is closest to electronics
hall. Figures will updated in new document - and
resubmitted.

HTR to RTC crates organized for shortest paths
Two sets of HF cables set the longest
path.(lt10m).

  • Remarks
  • We can organize our crates to have HTR to Cal
Regional trigger cables less than 10 meters. (10
meter target proposed by trigger group).
  • With 10 meter cables we have some room to change
the organization of HB and HE HTR crates. We may
want to do this for the following reasons
  • Unforeseen complexities with fiber mapping in
the patch panels. This needs to be looked at in
    detail (including calibration readout).
  • Optimize optic cable lengths. HF appears to be
the longest, so I dont believe that this would
gain us much. This should be checked once solid
    HF length numbers are available.
  • HO?
  • Other reasons?
  • With the information available to me at this
time I have no objections to the trigger crate
layout presented during electronics week, and
believe that we can comfortably fit within the
    proposed 10 meter cable limit.
