• They eat by the process of extracellular
  digestion/absorption they excrete enzymes and
  break down their food while it is still outside
• Fungi are decomposers they breakdown organic
  material (dead things). This releases the
  Carbon, nitrogen and other elements back into the
  environment (recycling)

Reproduction

• Most fungi reproduce by the use of a thick
  walled spore. Millions of spores are released
  into the air.
• Mushrooms are fungi. The part of the mushroom
  that is above ground is actually the fruiting
  body.
• Molds are fungi
• Fungi can cause diseases like athletes foot and
  fungal diaper rash

• Mushrooms that are quite far apart can be part of
  1 huge underground network of roots (called
  hyphae)
• Mycorhizzae are the symbiotic relationship of
  fungi with plant roots
