• Member of the administer medicine to diagnosis

• Plan, calculating and inject radioactive drugs
  into the patient body
• Analyze the interaction of blood and urine sample
  with the radioactive drugs
• Insert radioactive substances inside body
  cavities
• Responsible for radiation protection,

• Dosimetrist tend to be generalists, but may
  specialize in certain populations ( Children,
  elderly, and Animals)

WORKING ENVIROMENT

• Most work in a large hospital and research
  centers
• Cancer center
• Usually work 40 hours weeks

Length of Training

• Complete a one or two year education program
• An AS degree program at a community college
• BS degree program at an university

• Certificate is voluntary, but many employers
  require licensure for employment
