How to delineate with a contour map

• 1. Start at the mouth of the river and trace to
  the head waters
• 2. Make a dot at the mouth and at the head of
  river
• 3. Trace each tributary and place a dot at the
  end of each tributary
• 4. Going clockwise (or counterclockwise),
  connect the outer dots (Rough approximation of a
  watershed)
• Place an x on an surrounding hills or mountain
  tops.
• Going clockwise, start at the mouth and connect
  the xs following the high spots. Near the mouth
  of the river follow the v shaped counter lines.
  (More accurate watershed)
