• All text must be in two column format
• All text must be single spaced and fully
  justified
• All first-order headings must be numbered, left
  justified.
• Times New Roman font

• Authors name affiliation
• Abstract
• Introduction
• Body w/figures
• Conclusion
• References

Title

• Title must be indicative of the central focus of
  the paper
• Do not capitalize articles (a, an, the),
  coordinate conjunctions (and, but, for, or) or
  short prepositions (in, out, on)
• Student affiliation is the University

Abstract

• A concise overview of the paper 150 words
  maximum
• Explains purpose of the paper
• Presents findings of the paper
• Details importance of research/subject

Introduction

• Introduces and explains the research topic
• Provides context for the topic
• Communicates the goals/purpose of the paper

Body

• Effectively summarizes and evaluates your
  research
• Follows chronological structure
• details previous approaches to problem
• outlines approach / methodology
• Assesses and comments on results
• Fulfills the goal/purpose outlined in the
  introduction

Figures

• Figures are placed only in the body of the paper
• Figures are placed at top or bottom of columns,
  after they are mentioned in text
• Each figure requires a caption
• Figures are numbered sequentially to when they
  are cited in the text

Conclusion

• Restates the project goal(s)
• Summarizes the project results
• Examines the project objective in light of
  results
• Analyzes and explains any unexpected findings
• Explains significance of research results
