Developmental Motivations

• To minimize costs, use existing components and
  minimize number and complexity of components to
  be added.
• Existing CISs 4 bending dipole magnets
• Needed 2 three dipole wigglers

Design

• Four CIS bending dipoles on the corners of a
  square ring.
• Square ring give better tunes than racetrack
  ring.
• Two 3 magnet wigglers on opposite sides of the
  ring.
• Wigglers change the horizontal damping partition
  do give stable beam

• Wiggler bending radius 0.68 m
• Low Momentum Compaction
• Wigglers are made from rectangular magnets to
  allow the B fields of the wigglers to be changed.
• Allows for interesting studies of and
  moving through transition
• Wigglers also serve to damp the transverse beam
