GEOCODING

• the process of assigning a location, usually in
  the form of coordinate values, to an address by
  comparing the descriptive location elements in
  the address to those present in the reference
  material. An address includes any type of
  information that distinguishes a place. With
  geocoded addresses, you can spatially display the
  address locations and begin to recognize patterns
  within the information.

WHAT I LEARNED

• Geocoding is very time consuming if there are
  problems with your data
• I should have given the client the format I
  needed provided the column headings
• I should have insisted that the client do the
  research on those addresses ArcGIS couldnt
  geocode.
