• 90-minute test - nothing from textbooks
• no specific syllabus for this test

PSA

• Will be intimated
• Will comprise 60 items of MCQ type and will carry
  60 marks
• Will assess Language conventions, Qualitative
  Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning

• The PSA score will be counted towards FA 4 of
  grade 9 10
• This score will be reflected equally in English,
  Mathematics, Science and Social Science.

Summative Assessments

• Both SA1 SA2 are conducted evaluated by the
  school
• Question papers come from CBSE
• Marking scheme given by CBSE
• All grades scored by a student in Grade IX will
  be sent to the Board

OTBA and ASL

• OTBA Open Text book based assessment to be a
  part of SA2 for all subjects (French and Sanskrit
  excluded)
• ASL- Assessment of speaking and listening skills
  to be a part of both SA 1 and SA2 in English.
• Science and Math practical is a compulsory
  assessment and is a part of FA 2 and FA3.

Grading Scheme
Minimum qualifying grade in all subjects in the
Scholastic domain is D. A student must get a
minimum of 33 in each subject in order to be
eligible for promotion to Grade 10.

Part 2 Co- Scholastic Assessments

• Students are assessed in four parts on a Five
  Point Grading Scale.
• Life Skills consists of Thinking Skills, Social
  Skills and Emotional Skills.
• Work Education
• Visual and Performing Arts
• Attitudes and Values

Part 3 Co-curricular activities

• It has two sub parts to be assessed on a
  five-point grading scale.
• Part 1
• Literary and Creative Skills ,Scientific Skills,
  Information and Communication Technology (ICT),
  Organizational and Leadership Skills.
• A student will be marked on two activities from
  these four groups and will be assessed on their
  level of participation and achievements.

Co-Curricular activities

• Part 2 Sports and Yoga
• They will be assessed by teachers in charge of
  these activities in school.

• Assessment of CoScholastic Areas is reported
  twice in class IX and twice in class X.
