2Objectives of the Work-Study Program are to
provide
- A source of financial assistance for students
with demonstrated financial need - Work experiences which complement the
participants education - Services that otherwise would not exist to the
participating public institutions and agencies.
3Work-Study Requirements
- Complete an error-free Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FASFA) - Must maintain at least 2.0 GPA
- Must maintain Financial Aid Satisfactory
Academic Progress(FASAP) - Must be enrolled at least half time in an
eligible field of study - All classes must be a part of your primary major.
4As a work study student
- You will be paid minimum wage (7.79 per hour).
- You can work a maximum of 15 hours per week.
5Work-Study Students are expected to
- Perform assignments in a serious and responsible
manner - Follow a pre-determined work schedule
- Practice prefect attendance and punctuality
- Maintain an accurate timesheet
- Notify Human Resources, Admissions/Registration
and Financial Aid offices of any changes, i.e.
name, address, phone, exemptions, etc
6Performance Standards
- You are expected to perform your duties in
accordance with the standards established by your
department. - You must work at least 10 hours per week, but no
more than 15 hours per week. - You are not allowed to work during your scheduled
classes.
7Conditions of Employment
- As a part of the Work-Study program you will have
an ethical responsibility to maintain a certain
level of respect for the College, its faculty,
staff and students.
