What is ALB company ?
This company is a training center for drivers. It
helps you to prepare to pass an exam in driving
licence in Poland.

The beginning of the company
In 2009 the owner of a company was a driving
licence instructor. He decided to start his own
business. To obtain the necessary documents to
run the company he had to visit the following
offices

• - the Tax office - to obtain Tax ID
• - the Statistical office - to obtain statistical
  number
• - the Social insurance office - to obtain health
  insurance
• - the Town Hall - to obtain the entry in the
  register

He also started to cooperate with medical
services which arrives at his place to test
future drivers skills. Moreover, he had to
cooperate with lifeguards in order to teach the
drivers how to deal with First Aid.

Equipment of the company
He took a loan in a bank and bought a car. He
also had to rent a place for an office and he
needed a place to teach future drivers to drive
a car. At the beginning it was a school building.
It was cheaper but opening hours were a problem
to him. The school building is unavailable on
Saturdays and Sundays. Therefore he decided to
change a place for an office and started to
cooperate with Municipal Police. Now he has his
office in their building but a place to practise
driving is still at the school building. He also
had to buy 2 computers and equip a room for the
learners to practise theoretical part of the
driving licence exam.

He cooperated together with another driving
license instructor. They worked every day from
Monday to Sunday.For the half of a year he did
not have any financial profits. He had to pay a
loan, taxes and fees. But after that he started
to balance at zero level. After a year he had his
first profits.After another half a year he
invested again and bought another car. All
together he bought three cars in three years.

The biggest problem
The biggest problem his company faces is the
necessity of changing all the cars every four
year. This is the regulation and must in Poland.
All the driving licence schools must exchange
their cars into new ones. This is of course an
extra cost.

Typical costs of the company
Since the beginning he has had to pay for -
taxes - instructor payment
- a place to teach drivers - a place to maneuver
vehicles
- fuel - insurance - advertising ( banners,
leaflets, radio, the Internet )

Nowadays
Nowadays the owner of the driving licence school
cooperates with six instructors. He has three
cars and leads a moderate lifestyle. The most
important is that he is independent.

Future Plans
He is going to buy a truck to train future
professional truck drivers.
