  • Statewide AAA database for determining functional
    eligibility

Advisory Board
  • Advisory Board membership representing AARP,
    2-1-1, SHIIP, Professor of Gerontology from
    Indiana University, IN Association of Home Care
    and Hospice, Indiana Home Care Task Force,
    Indiana Association of Homes and Services for the
    Aging, Alzheimers Association of Greater
    Indiana, Indiana Commission on Aging, Office of
    Medicaid Policy and Planning.

Because of the involvement of interested
stakeholders, such as the Director of Indiana
2-1-1 and SHIIP, MOUs were quickly signed at the
outset.

    a month with most during off-office hours.

Uniformity and Consistency
  • Standard Operating Procedures developed to give
    consistency and uniformity to all ADRCs in
    Indiana.
  • Core Competency trainings were provided to
    everyone answering the phones in the ADRC
    Medicare, Medicaid, Legal Services, Housing
    Issues, etc.

Options Counseling
  • Options Counseling turned the Pre-Admission
    Screening process into an opportunity to educate
    and inform consumers on long-term care options.
    In the past it seemed that individuals made the
    nursing home decision because they were not aware
    of other choices.
