2What does GIANTS stand for?

3What is GIANTS? GIANTS is an early morning
workout which Mr Monks runs Wednesdays before
school. This is an enjoyable but hard going
session. When its a nice morning we go outside
and usually begin with a warm up of 1 lap around
the field, which is then followed by a muscle
stretch. Once we are warm we complete various
circuits such as, static and dynamic lunges,
weights, sprints, hill climbs, chin ups, push ups
and we also look at increasing and decreasing
speed when playing sport. We also work just as
hard when the winter comes, in the Fitness Suite
and circuits in the Gym. After the session we
are able to go up to the canteen and have
breakfast which helps understand the meaning of a
healthy diet. When completing classroom sessions
we think about what we will do with our future in
sport.

4As a reward for our commitment and determination
towards GIANTS and using our talent in sport we
had the opportunity to have a weekend away in
Bude. The activities we took part in were
Surfing, Kayaking , Archery, Coastaleering and
at night beach games and an open fire. There will
be some amazing memories to keep forever. It was
an experience we will never forget.
