HISTORY1998-1999

• Late Fall 1998 Site consisted of six static
  pages and had not been updated in six months
• Eight seniors taught me everything they knew
  about web design
• Site grew to over 300 pages, and won Cool School
  of the Week

1999-2000

• Won Cool School of the Year by Education World
• Named Best High School Website in the USA by
  Cisco Systems
• Kenston received 10,000 from Cisco

2000-2001

• Web design first offered as an elective
• 40 students took the class
• Site grew to over 3,000 pages
• Following Year- went from full time math to full
  time Web Design ?

Web Design

• Hands-on class building the Kenston High School
  Website
• It takes about four weeks to teach the basics
• Students are assigned sections to maintain, and
  are encouraged to select areas of their interest
