1.Status and functions
1. This lesson is the second period of Topic2.
It helps students continue to learn about the
harm caused by polluted environment. And it also
helps Ss to improve their listening, speaking,
reading, and writing abilities. 2. Such a
topic is related to daily environment, so it is
helpful to raise students learning interests .

The students have learned English for more than 2
years so far. They have some ways and abilities
to learn English.
