Principles

• Plan with the end in mind. Determine what
  characteristics you want to see in a growing
  disciple.
• Determine where persons are now in their
  spiritual journey.
• Design a plan / process to help persons grow from
  where they are now toward where we would like
  them to be (a growing disciple). Move from
  nonbeliever to a maturing disciple.

Principles

• Spiritual growth is a life-long journey. Help
  individuals determine the next step. Individuals
  do best when they can see one small step at a
  time.
• Discipleship (and all of the Christian life) is
  relational. Persons learn and grow from more
  mature believers whom they know and trust.
• Discipleship should be reproducible. Persons
  should be trained in such a way that as they
  mature, they can train others.
