  • Shift to neutral and let car roll back to touch

  • Signal, check traffic, and accelerate

  • Let vehicle creep back while straightening

  • Signal check traffic and accelerate

  • Pull vehicle close to curb
  • Turn wheels in
  • Shift to neutral
  • Let car roll to touch curb
  • Shift to park, set parking brake

Leaving downhill
  • Check traffic, back a short distance while
    straightening wheels.
  • Signal, check traffic, shift to drive and
    accelerate into traffic
