The Structure of the SAT
  • The SAT contains 10 sections, beginning with a
    25-minute essay.
  • The test is 3 hours and 45 minutes long, allowing
    for more time per question than other tests.
  • Sections are no longer than 25 minutes with no
    more than 50 minutes between breaks.
