Requirements

• Research a ceramic artist (it cannot be an artist
  that you have already researched)
• Places to look
• Ceramics Monthly
• Online
• Library

• Design an original teapot based on this artists
  work (you are not making a replica of this
  artists workyou are using him/her for
  inspiration only)
• You will also create 2 teacups that relate to
  your teapot (think of them as a set)
• Opportunity for extra credit if you create
  saucers also

Things to consider

• How will you be inventive?
• How will you show your artistic voice?
• What Principles of Design will you incorporate?
• Will you incorporate sculptural elements into the
  functionality?

Additional Assignment

• You will have to give a 5 minute presentation on
  the research you did on your artist and how you
  incorporated his/her work into your own.
• You must also provide visuals to support your
  presentation (ie PowerPoint/google
  presentation)
