• Each panel has a certain number of solar cells or
  photovoltaic cells that are in a certain order
  and are wired together
• They absorb the sunlight then transform the
  sunlight into electric currents
• PV stands for Photovoltaic cells and they are
  made from silicon

• Solar Plants form heat by using these lenses and
  reflectors that focus on the suns energy.
• Because the heat can be stored, these plants are
  unique because they can generate power when it is
  needed, day or night, rain or shine.

Advantages

• Renewable source
• Solar cells get energy from the sun without
  making noise
• Non-polluting
• Need little maintenance and last a long time.
• Solar powered lights and other products are
  installed without wires

Disadvantages

• All the solar cells and panels can be very
  expensive
• You cant create solar power at night
• A large space to place all the panels

• Solar energy is best used in California, Arizona,
  and Nevada because a great amount of sunlight can
  hit the solar planes and theres a huge area to
  put all the planes.
• The best spots for solar potential energy is the
  southwest. It gets direct sunlight

• It you put solar panels on your house its free
  energy and you cut your fuel bills in half
• Panel producing 120 watts is about 700.but, used
  panels are cheaper
• It saves you money because if your other fuels
  are really high then this is cheap and great in
  savings
• It will take five years before you get your money
  back and the panel will pay itself off
