resources so care can be redirected to those in
need .3. Deserve care free of abuse

WHY?

• NYS official waiting list numbers 6,700 people
  as of 2000, more not counted, 1,900 in Queens
  alone. Waiting time 5-10 Yrs.
• Roughly 60,000 annual cost to keep in resident in
  a group home. This comes from the Medicaid
  allowance they bring.

Future plans

• Look for the land necessary to build.
• Visit Facilities to get the perspective that
  need change.
• creating a survey to find areas that population
  thinks needs improvement
