Assignment
  • You will research a person involved in the tragic
    events of September 11, 2001.
  • Your goal is to memorialize one who has fallen or
offer a tribute to one who survived.

3
Procedure
  • You will choose either a person who died in the
events on 9/11 or who was involved in the rescue
    efforts or who survived.
  • Possible choices include first responders, people
on the four airplanes, people in the World Trade
Center, the Pentagon, and officials working to
    protect and save the citizens.
  • This person should be lesser known than the ones
who instantly come to mind. (i.e. Betty Ong, Todd
Beamer, President Bush, the guy in the red
bandana, etc.) Consult the list of excluded
    persons before choosing.
  • Go to http//www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/memorial/l
    ists/by-name/page90.html
  • Look through names and choose someone.

    information in your email
  • your name, school's name, teacher's name and
email address, a brief description of the
project, and what you are asking for (pictures,
memories, etc.). -Please be sensitive in your
wording, since you are asking a stranger for
assistance in recreating something that was very
    painful.

6
Send letter via email or Facebook
  • Bring a copy of your letter to me for approval
before you send it. You may not use email or
facebook contact as a source without first having
your letter approved. When you send the
correspondence, send the copy to my email.
Forward all emails/facebook communication to my
    email address as well.
