Title: CUBISM
1CUBISM
- The world never looked the same again
2Today we will learn.
- About why Cubism was so important.
- Who were the main Artists involved.
- What is meant by Analytical and Synthetic Cubism.
- How Cubist paintings, drawings and collages were
made. - How to draw in the Cubist way.
3Pablo Picasso and Georges Braques
- The things that Picasso and I said to one
another during those years will never be said
again, and even if they were, no one would
understand them anymore. It was like being roped
together on a mountain.
Picasso and Braque met in 1907. They both lived
and worked in the same area of Paris. They were
close and competitive.

14- Task 1
- Drawing before we can start our paintings, we
need to plan properly by drawing - We need to push ourselves to draw like Picasso
and Braque - This means trying new things!
- We will draw the same objects from different
viewpoints - We will stand up and move around an object, and
look at it from above, and draw what we see - We will overlap lines
- We will divide up objects into geometrical shapes
- We will enlarge some parts of objects and shrink
others!
