  • to give credit to other peoples work and ideas.
  • to show the reader of our paper the materials
    (sources) on which we based our thesis or
    conclusions.
  • to guide the reader of our paper to the materials
    (sources) we used so they can examine those items
    for themselves.

  • You are guilty of PLAGIARISM
  • There are consequences to plagiarism
  • Take careful notes, keep track of your sources
    and cite those sources using MLA style

Documentation Preparing the List of Works Cited
(Go to Chapter 5)
  • Contributor. Title of work. Secondary
    Contributor. Publication Information. Medium.
  • 1st author reverse name (Last, First) any
    additional authors list in order of appearance
    and do not reverse (First Last)
  • Capitalize titles and subtitle. The title is
    italicized.
  • Medium Print, Web, CD, etc.
