• 3.3 billion people live in cities.
• 60 will live in cities by 2030.
• Almost 180,000 people move into cities each day.
• 60 million people move into cities each year in
  developing countries.
• Over the next 15 to 20 years, many cities in
  Africa and Asia will double in size.

population over 10 million, 19 of which will be
in developing countries.
