• Titles and keywords
• Look for bolded words
• Take cues from teacher
• Use abbreviations when possible
• Do not abbreviate everything
• Use indentations to distinguish between major

• Paraphrase when possible in your own words
• If you DO NOT understand an idea leave a blank
  space and ask the teacher for help later
• Highlight main ideas and keywords
