Terminal Objective
  • Given Training Aids and instruction the Valve
    Services Technician will inspect and set up
    rotork actuators per instruction as demonstrated
    by participation in a Lab Practical Exercise.

Discuss Set-up Activities
  • Verify DCID
  • Accept Permit
  • Obtain Current Lube Points (CPXCOMP)
  • Contact OPS for permission to Energize/De-energize
    the breaker
  • Install Jumper Local Control Switch

Discuss Stem Cleaning Lubrication
  • Record As-Found Valve Position
  • Clean Anti-Rotation
  • Clean Inspect Stem
  • Rising Rotating
  • Rising Non-Rotating
  • Return to As-Found Position

Visual Inspection
  • Grease / Oil Leaks
  • Crack in the Housing
  • Flex and Connectors
  • Fasteners tight and in place
  • No distortion, Actuator, Yoke, Stem
  • Actuator aligned with Stem Packing
  • Inspect Oil level take sample

Visual Inspection (continued)
  • Inspect Oil
  • Metal, Color, Odor, dirt, emulsification
  • Q/QAG Samples to Lube Lab
  • Non-Q/QAG only suspect samples to the lab.

Electrical Inspection
  • Limit / Torque Switch
  • Inspect o-ring, presents of oil, moisture and
    cleanliness
  • Inspect Vendor wiring, terminations
  • Record Torque Switch settings
  • Close Torque, Open Limit
  • Open should not be on Boost, if so contact Team
    Leader

Termination Compartment Inspection
  • Inspect o-ring, presents of oil, moisture,
    cleanliness
  • Inspect wiring for brittling, cracking, damage
    insulation and terminal integrity
  • Rework if required per 32MT-9ZZ49 Appendix G
    Cable Repair (You must be Small Termination
    Qualified)
  • Verify low resistance across Contacts lt 1 ohm

Limit Switch Adjustment
  • 13JFWNHV0103 is wired differently than standard
    Rotork Actuators Reference 1,2, or 3-E-FWB-003
    Contact Development for correct configuration
  • Two types of switches A Range and NA
