Names (Nombres)

• In Spain and Latin America, people usually have
  and use both their first and middle names.
• They also generally use both last names- fathers
  and mothers maiden name.

Greetings (saludos)

• Spanish-speakers often greet each other with a
  handshake or a kiss.
• In Spain, in may be a kiss on both cheeks.
• Men often shake hands, pat each others back, or
  hug.
• Young people shake hands and family members
  usually greet each other with a kiss.
• Latin Americans are very affectionate people.

Childrens names (nombres de los niños)

• The majority of people in Spain and Latin America
  are Roman Catholic.
• Children are often (not always) named after the
  name of the saint celebrated on the day they were
  born, or after important saints.
• Common namesJosé, Juan Pablo, María, Magdalena,
  Jacobo, Jesús

Interpersonal Distance(distancia interpersonal)

• In Spanish-speaking countries you will encounter
  differences in the distance people keep from each
  other when they are together.
• People sit and stand closer and do not feel
  uncomfortable. As a matter of fact, if you stand
  too far away, it is considered rather
  unfriendly.
