  • April U.S. responds by refusing to refine oil
    for Cuba that came from the U.S.S.R.
  • July Eisenhower cancels sugar quota(Will not buy
    Cuban sugar)

    companies (utilities, banking, transportation,
    communications, sugar refining insurance,
    industrial, mining, and tourism)

    complete embargo. No more trading, except for
    medicine and non-subsidized food stuffs.

  • After the Bay of Pigs the embargo will be
