Why is he remembered?

• His decisions brought the Reformation to England.
  
• He was excommunicated from the church because he
  had his first marriage annulled (ended).
• He fought back and had Parliament pass an act to
  declare himself the head of the church, not the
  Pope.
• Some priests and popes didnt agree to this, and
  were killed.
• This was the beginning of the Church of England,
  or Anglican Church.
• He left due to personal reasons, not religious.
• The Church of England stayed very much like the
  Catholic Church.
