When it is a social image (i.e., people) consider the materials used, the expressions drawn, the clothing, the background, the mood, the purpose. If it is a landscape or a map consider the layout. What does the layout indicate about the village, its advancements, its defenses, its geographic features, etc. Answers should reflect thought and critical examination. Also remember that prior to each visual there is a description of its setting. Information from the description will help you in the interpretation of the visual.
