Always Happy
I am a generally cheerful person. My students
last year thought it was funny that I would take
their tuna nets with a smile.

Binghamton University
I went to college at Binghamton University in New
York. I graduated in 2001 with a Batchelors
Degree where I majored in English. I earned a
Masters Degree in Teaching in 2003.

Convertible
I bought a new car in January. It is a Sebring
convertible. I love to drive around town with the
top down.

Dad Mom
This summer, I went to visit my parents and Lady
in New York. We went on vacation in the Poconos
Mountains in Pennsylvania. My mom is a computer
programmer and my dad is retired.

Excited
I am so excited about this school year. There is
so much going on. It is the first year the IB
Council will be in full force.

Fun
I believe in having fun. Some things that I think
are fun include reading, watching movies, going
to parties, and traveling to new places.

Gardening
I enjoy gardening. I grow flowers and herbs at my
house. I have a vegetable garden at my fiances
house in Richlands. This year we are going to
have a winter garden too!

Hair
I have wavy-curly hair and I really enjoy trying
new hairstyles. Especially when it looks great-
which is not always the case.

IB Council
I started the IB Council last year. It is a group
of student leaders who want to promote school
spirit, Community Service, and the IB Programme.

Jimmy
Jimmy is my brother. He is a computer programmer
and lives in Cary, NC. He has two dogs named Tux
and Jitterbug.

Kathy
My sister Kathy teaches 2nd grade at Richlands
Elementary School. She lives with me and used to
be a cheerleader and a gymnast.

Lady
Lady was my dog who loves to wear clothes. She
lives with my parents in New York. I miss her,
but I know she has a better life there.

Mr. Tucker
Mr. Tucker is my fiance. We got engaged this
summer. He teaches U.S. History at Jacksonville
High School.

New York
I grew up in East Northport, New York. I moved
to North Carolina in 2003.

Oregon
I visited Portland, Oregon this summer. It was
interesting and very different from the east
coast.

Poland
I went to Poland in 2001 and then again last
summer in 2007. My parents were both born in
Poland and I am first generation American. I
still have relatives there.

Queen
I would love to be a queen one day!

Ruby Tuesday
I worked as a waitress at Ruby Tuesday for
several years. Waitressing is one of the most
difficult jobs Ive had.

Scrabble
I love to play Scrabble and I usually win! I am
also very good at solving puzzles.

Thai House
My favorite restaurant in Jacksonville is the
Thai House on Western Blvd. The food is
delicious and the atmosphere is charming.

UNDERSTANDING
An important lesson I have learned from my family
is how to be understanding of peoples
differences.

Valentine's Day
Valentines Day is one of my favorite holidays
because I love chocolate. Also, pink and red are
my favorite colors.

Zoolander
Zoolander is a terrific movie. Ben Stiller and
Owen Wilson are hysterical! I am a huge fan of
the Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Cant
Read Good.
