The birth of a great man

• Roald Dahl was born on September 13,1916.He was
  born in a place called Liandaff,Wales. His
  parents were Norwegian and he was the only born
  of a second marriage. He had two step-siblings
  and four real brothers and sisters.

School

• Roald Dahl had a very unhappy time at school. At
  the age from 7 to 9 he went to Liandaff Cathedral
  school.Later in his life he wrote a book called
  boy (Ill get to that later). It recalled what he
  did in school at one time. Also the seeds of
  CHRLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY were being
  planted.

This is war soldier!

• At the age of 18, instead of going to a
  university Roald Dahl joined the public exploring
  society expedition to Newfoundland. Then he
  started to work for shell by being a salesman in
  Dar es salaam. When he was 23, war broke out and
  he signed up to be a pilot and he got accepted.
  He was trained at birdplane gladiator fighters.
  He crashed an en-route.

The writer is born!

• In 1942, Roald Dahl began to write! He started to
  write about his adventures at war. He also wrote
  about his experiences when he joined and life as
  a fighter. It was mostly read by adults.

Children books are a huge hit!

• A few years after he wrote about his life as a
  pilot he started writing children's books. They
  were a great hit and everyone loved them like
  crazy. The world famous book CHARLIE AND THE
  CHOCOLATE FACTORY was so big and good that it
  became his most famous book ever.

Family time!

• Roald Dahl was married twice. He had five
  children altogether. Olivia (who died at the age
  of seven) Theo,Tessa,Ophelia and Lucy. He told
  them stories when they went to bed to sooth them
  and to make them go to sleep.

Please dont die!

• The great author,father and writer died on
  November 23rd 1990 at the age of seventy-four. It
  was a tragic loss and everyone paid there
  respects to the great man,father ,author and
  lover of the world and the people in it. It was a
  very bad time for his family and friends.
