• 4 different exercises were performed by medical
  students with no surgical experience
• They performed each task with traditional
  laparoscopic techniques and the device
• The successful exercises resulted in
• 9.5, 27.5, 60.5, and 51.0 seconds respectively
  for the da Vinci
• 19.0, 64.0, 356.5, and 184.5 seconds respectively
  for the traditional techniques

• The device costs around 2.2 million not
  including additions to the device
• The cost of surgery with the device gt traditional
  laparoscopy
• Insurance companies only reimburse the amount for
  the traditional method
