  • The prefix de- means reduce, remove, or
    not. (such as deprived)
  • The prefix dis- also means not, as well as
    apart. (such as disorder)
  • These are two very common prefixes that come
    before nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs to
    form many words in English
